Multiyear Maintenance Project — through October 2018

Harborside Resort at Atlantis has a multiyear villa refurbishment and maintenance project underway that will continue through October 2018. One building at a time will be closed for refurbishment. At the same time, villas in other buildings may be unavailable due to maintenance. During these projects, there is a possibility that Home Resort Owners may be placed in a phase other than what is owned, and in some cases, Fixed villas may be unavailable due to maintenance. We do not anticipate that any of the planned projects will affect the resort's amenities or impact the vacation experience of our Owners or Guests. Our goal is to keep this site updated with the refurbishment schedule. Please continue to check back for updates prior to travel.

Current Schedule (updated Sept. 28, 2018)

Elevator Maintenance: Oct. 13–Dec. 21, 2018

Each building’s elevators will undergo maintenance this fall. Each building will be closed for occupancy while the elevators are undergoing renovation. Fixed villa Owners who are affected by this project will be relocated to a different villa that may be in a phase other than what is owned.

Dining Payments

The food and beverage outlets at Atlantis, Paradise Island, operate cashless. The resort will authorize an initial credit card deposit equal to $100 per day at check-in. Additional authorizations will be obtained as required throughout the stay.

Value-Added Tax

The Bahamian government has implemented the VAT, a new type of consumption tax charged at 12% on most goods and services that businesses provide in the Bahamas, including, but not limited to credit card deposits, housekeeping services, and internet charges. VAT is also charged on certain goods and services imported from outside the Bahamas.
