Give in to the beauty of nature and experience a tropical paradise at Limahuli Garden and Preserve, named the best natural botanical garden in the United States by the American Horticultural Society.
Limahuli Garden and Preserve is set in a verdant tropical valley on the north shore of the Hawaiian Island of Kaua‘i. The garden is backdropped by the majestic Makana Mountain and overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
Plants that were significant to the island’s early inhabitants, as well as native species, make up the garden's collections. The property includes a plantation-era garden, as well as species introduced by modern man. Limahuli Stream, one of the last pristine waterways left in the islands, provides a habitat for indigenous aquatic life.
You can also visit Princeville Botanical Gardens, a family-grown and operated botanical garden complete with exotic flowers, delicious fruit trees, healthy beehives and organic homegrown chocolate. A tour though this garden will treat you to homemade chocolate, honey, seasonal fruit samplings from the land, and an educational walk through the native Hawaiian flora, tropical medicinals, sacred flowers and food plants.
