If you prefer to get out into nature and explore at your own pace, you may want to check out the Coachella Valley’s popular Bump-n-Grind hiking trail. In contrast to most of the other trails in the area, this one starts out narrow, but widens as it leads up from the valley floor. You’ll reach an elevation that lends itself to breathtaking views of Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and the Coachella Valley.
When you come, make sure you’re ready for a workout. As popular as it is challenging, you’ll likely meet other hikers along the trail looking for some great cardio. Keep in mind that dogs are not allowed along the trail in order to help maintain the natural habitat.

I recommend the hike for all skill levels. Beautiful views, lots of wildlife and great exercise to prepare you for a great dining experience later that day!

I would like to recommend the Bump and Grind trail for a great aerobic workout. Talk to the Palm Springs Visitor Center for maps and other trail recommendations.
