There are a few of my favorites located near the resort that you should check out. 808 Grindz Cafe is about 10 minutes from the resort. You’ll find tasty eats for breakfast and lunch, including the house-made macadamia-nut sauce or coconut sauce drizzled over pancakes and waffles. The prices are just right and the food is delicious.
Gazebo Restaurant perfectly pairs affordable food items with an even better view. It’s also a 10-minute drive from the resort, so you can easily pop over for breakfast or lunch. A little more on the trendy side is Star Noodle, serving fresh house-made noodles and Asian specialties for lunch and dinner. It’s a small space, so be sure to make a reservation or expect to wait.
Literally off the path leading to our sister resort next door, you’ll find Pailolo, an open-air sports bar with a food-truck-style kitchen. The menu takes an eclectic twist on food truck classics, while featuring products indigenous to Maui. It’s also a popular spot to catch your favorite sporting events and live music.
