There are endless opportunities to hike Vail Valley. If you’re bringing the family, you’ll love the variety of beginner trails that are perfectly suited for hikers of all ages. Many feature picnic areas and playgrounds to ensure everyone has a good time when it’s time for a break. Some are known more for the nature and wildlife you are likely to encounter along the way. And there are more advanced trails with higher elevations and challenging terrain. Whether you are looking to explore for the afternoon or make a day of it, the hiking adventures are plentiful and well worth your time.

Vistana Community Member "We visited Avon, in the Vail Valley, during the month of September." — 03/07/2018 "We visited Avon, in the Vail Valley, during the month of September." 03/07/2018 Hiking in the Vail Valley and surrounding areas. We went during the aspen changing to fall golden color, seeing and hearing the aspen quaking. We hiked Vail up over into the back bowls. It was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to be. Another great place to explore is Estes Park, one of the National Parks. Also, hiking in Minton, Aspen, Breckinridge are all fantastic places to hike there for the entire family. Exploring the walks around Avon and Vail, next to the river are lovely.
