With StarOptions, you have the flexibility to exchange your Vacation Ownership Interest (VOI) for a stay at another VistanaTM Signature Experiences villa resort—without any fees. To help you plan the perfect vacation, our StarOptions Values Chart breaks down the weekly and daily StarOptions required to complete a reservation at each VSN villa resort, Villa type and Season. Remember, weekly valuations are calculated based upon a Friday arrival only. If your dates of stay cross over into another season, additional StarOptions may be required since StarOptions are calculated based on the Season of each day of your stay. Note: Your villa description may vary from the villa designation on this chart. Refer to your Use Notification documents for details regarding your Villa type and StarOptions®. Information on this chart is subject to the Vistana Signature Network program rules. Check-in days may vary; please call Owner Services for details. Certain weeks shown may be sold exclusively as Event or Ultra Premium Weeks. Therefore, the availability of these weeks for reservation may be limited.
The StarOptions values represented are effective with the 2016 Use Year and replace all previously dated StarOptions charts. StarOptions values are subject to change.
Weekly valuations are based upon a Friday arrival. Dates of stay which cross over an established week(s) may require additional StarOptions based upon the seasonality.
In the event of discrepancies, including typographical errors, alterations, modifications or variations, our official records shall control.

Owners will see a host of features when it comes to viewing your available assignments when requesting an exchange through Interval International (II).

Features

  • Owners and II Vacation Planning Counselors will see the specific Use Year(s), Home Resort, Villa Type and expiration date of your assignment in your II account.
  • You will have up to 36 months to use your Assignment.
  • Your assignment will be valid until December 31, two years after the Use Year assigned.
  • You can assign your Vacation Ownership Interest (VOI) directly with II (by phone or online) without calling Owner Services.*
  • Choose between II’s Deposit First or Request First method.

Exchanging is Easy Signing into IntervalWorld.com is the fastest and easiest way to exchange. Click the Exchange tab, search for availability and then pick the Vacation Ownership Interest (VOI) you wish to exchange. If you don’t immediately find the available exchange you are looking for, be sure to start an ongoing request using either of the following two exchange choices with II:

  • Deposit First – Use Deposit First when you know you won’t be traveling to your Home Resort or a VistanaTM Signature Experiences villa resort during the Use Year. Once you assign your VOI, you will have up to three years — a year in advance and up to two years after — to request and complete your exchange travel.
  • Request First – You can search availability with II without assigning your VOI. You can start an exchange request up to one year in advance and through December 24 of the Use Year you wish to exchange. If your exchange is not confirmed by December 24 of the Use Year, you must contact II or Owner Services to assign your VOI to maintain your ability to exchange it in a future year.

Remember, you can save $35 off** your exchange fee when you request your exchange using your VOI to confirm a stay at another Vistana Signature Experiences villa resort through II. For more information regarding external exchange, please visit IntervalWorld.com or call 1-877-782-7088.

Excludes Sheraton Vistana Resort Courts, Falls, Spas, Palms and Springs VOIs not participating in VSN membership who continue to assign directly with Interval International. Coral Vista Villas, Sunset Bay Villas, The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas and Sheraton Flex vacation plan VOIs participate in Interval Points exchange program.

It may take up to 72 hours for the verification process for Request First exchanges.

*Your annual fees associated with your VOI must be paid in full at the time of your request to assign your VOI for External Exchange for a current or future Use Year and at the time you initiate an exchange request with Interval International.

**Trade into any Vistana Signature Experiences (VSE) resort to qualify for the discount. Non-Vistana Signature Experiences resorts are not permitted in exchange requests. Owners relinquishing anything other than Vistana Signature Experiences Vacation Ownership Interests are ineligible. Discount applies to new exchange requests only and previously confirmed or pending exchanges are not entitled to a refund or discount. Discount is for Owners residing in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean islands, and serviced by the U.S. Servicing office for Interval International. All other Owners will receive comparable discounts set by their servicing office. Owners residing in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean islands will be charged the discounted domestic exchange fee when traveling to VSE resorts in Cancún, The Bahamas and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

VistanaTM Signature Network (VSN) Owners: Simply log in and browse villa availability, then reserve your Home Resort 12 to 8 months* prior to arrival or another villa resort using StarOptions within 8 months of arrival. You’ll get to see the same villa availability your Vacation Planning Counselor would see, so you can make your reservation when it’s convenient for you.

Fixed Week Owners: Your Week, Villa type and Season at your Home Resort are automatically booked but must be confirmed 12 – 10 months prior to arrival, or your week is released to the floating pool. Sheraton Vistana Resort Courts, Falls, Spas, Palms and Springs Fixed Week Owners must confirm automatic booking 12 – 8 months before vacation arrival date, or the week is released to the floating pool.

Change of plans? Now you can cancel your reservation online when your arrival date is 61 days or more in advance. Cancellations 60 days or less must be cancelled by phone with Owner Services.

Cancellations requested 60 days or less prior to arrival will:

  • Be restricted to requesting a new reservation within 60 days of the new requested arrival date
  • Not be eligible for StarOptions Banking or Starpoints conversion

The following cancellation fees will also apply:

  • Cancelled within 60 – 8 days: $50
  • Cancelled 7 days or less: $75

The online e-Statement option is the easiest and most convenient option for receiving and paying your annual maintenance fee statement. The paperless e-Statement is just one of the many ways we are continuing to simplify and enhance your ownership. An e-Statement is an electronic version of your paper statement that you will be able to access and pay online by logging in at vistana.com. Owners, your StarOptions® are your access to different villa sizes in different seasons at your Home Resort or other VistanaTM Signature Experiences villa resorts. But what happens when you’re unable to get away or you simply have extra ones that will go unused? That’s where StarOptions banking comes in. Here’s everything you need to know about saving and getting the most from those leftover StarOptions.

Who’s Eligible? Banking StarOptions is available to VistanaTM Signature Network Owners who are current on maintenance fees. If you have biennial (every other year) ownership you can bank your StarOptions to travel every year for shorter vacations instead of waiting every other year.

How It Works? You can bank an entire use year’s worth of StarOptions, or just a few. You can keep your unused StarOptions for up to two years and use them to travel to a Vistana villa resort.

How Much Does It Cost to Bank? Five-Star Elite Owners: No charge. Three- and Four-Star Elite Owners: $79 All other Owners: $99

How far out can I make a reservation with Banked StarOptions? Beginning at eight months in advance of your desired travel date, you can reserve nightly stays or more, checking in any day of the week.

Terms of Use:

  1. Banking is a benefit available to Vistana Signature Network Owners and is subject to all VSN Ownership terms and conditions.
  2. Banked StarOptions may be used to confirm reservations in the subsequent 2 years for reservations made during the Float period beginning 8 months or less in advance of the requested arrival date.
  3. Reservations made using Banked StarOptions are based on availability of StarOptions banked by other Owners.
  4. Banked StarOptions reservations are subject to rules and regulations pursuant to the VSN Disclosure Guide and related VSN documents including but not limited to cancellation policy, lengths of stay, and additional housekeeping fees.
  5. VSN members may bank all or any portion of unused StarOptions.
  6. Banked StarOptions are valid through and travel must be completed by December 31 of the second year beyond the Use Year banked.
  7. All fees, including but not limited to maintenance fees, taxes and VSN fees associated with a VSN Ownership, must be current to bank StarOptions and at the time a reservation is made using Banked StarOptions.
  8. Banking can be requested as early as October 1 of the Use Year prior to the Use Year being banked and no later than July 1 of the Use Year being banked for all VSN Owners. However, 3 and 4 Star Elite Members may request banking as late as October 1 of the Use Year being banked. 5 Star Elite Members may request banking as late as December 31 of the Use Year being banked.
  9. Banking is a final transaction and cannot be reversed. In addition, banked StarOptions are not eligible for external exchange or Starpoint conversion.
  10. Unused StarOptions will not be banked automatically and therefore VSN members must contact Owner Services by the applicable deadlines to bank all or a portion of unused StarOptions.
  11. Applicable StarOptions banking fees are required at the time of banking and are charged per transaction.
  12. Banked StarOptions may transfer in the event of will or deed transfer to an immediate family member (mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandparents). However, banked StarOptions do not transfer when ownership weeks are transferred or sold to other individuals or entities.
  13. Banked StarOptions may transfer with original expiration date in the event of an upgrade of the existing ownership interest to a new ownership interest purchased directly from Vistana Signature Experiences.
  14. VistanaTM Signature Network Operator reserves the right to change, modify or cancel benefits of VSN, including but not limited to banking, at any time and in its sole discretion. How To Exchange

To exchange, contact Owner Services Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

How To Convert

To convert your ownership into Starpoints, contact Owner Services between October 1 of the year prior and March 31 of the Use Year that is being converted. It takes approximately 72 hours for confirmation of the conversion. For questions about Starpoints, call SPG at 1-888-625-4990 or visit www.spg.com.

VistanaTM Signature Experiences does not offer an Owner rental program at any of its villa resorts. However, as an Owner, you may reserve a Vacation Period at your Home Resort and arrange a private third-party rental. All renters must comply with the rules and regulations of your Home Resort, and as the Owner, you will be responsible for the acts or omissions of your renter and their guests. Once you have rented your Home Resort Vacation Period, please notify Owner Services of the arriving guest name to ensure their access to your reservation at check-in. Owners should be current in all fees, including maintenance fees and taxes, associated with Ownership prior to the arrival date. To ensure your guest a seamless check-in, please pay all fees in advance, as guests will not be allowed to check-in until all fees are paid. If additional housekeeping fees are assessed on the reservation, your guest will be responsible for paying these fees at check-out if you have not settled the fees with the resort prior to your guest’s departure (see confirmation to determine if additional housekeeping fees are assessed).

How it works

Convert your Vacation Ownership Interest (VOI) into Starpoints between October 1 of the year prior and March 31 of the Use Year being converted*. (Lock off Owners may convert each Use Year by converting alternate sides.)

*Elite Owners can convert each Use Year and have extended conversion deadlines.

You can combine Starpoints you have earned through an existing SPG account with Starpoints you receive by converting your ownership to Starpoints. Keep in mind that unused Starpoints related to vacation ownership expire after 6 years. The Starpoints closest to expiring will be deducted first when you redeem them.

Your ownership’s Starpoints conversion allocation varies depending on your ownership type, and can be found under ‘What I Own” in the ‘Dashboard’ section of this website. Starpoints from the conversion of your ownership cannot be redeemed for stays at VSN resorts

How Much Does it Cost to Convert?

For weekly VOI Owners, the cost to convert is $130 per VOI. For Owners with Home Options packages, the cost to convert is $130 per transaction and per package. 4- and 5-Star Elite owners do not pay a conversion fee.

Terms and Conditions

    • VSN Members must be current in their maintenance fees, taxes, and network dues at the time the Starpoint conversion is requested. When requesting Starpoints conversion of a future Use Year, pre-payment of the estimated maintenance fees, taxes and network dues associated with the future Use Year is also required.
    • Vistana Signature Experiences may withhold the deposit into or remove the deposit of Starpoints from your SPG account if you become delinquent in the payment of maintenance fees, taxes, settlement charges, special assessments or any other charge.
    • Convert your VOI into Starpoints between October 1 of the year prior and March 31 of the Use Year being converted, July 1 of the Use Year being converted for 3-Star Elite members, and October 1 of the Use Year being converted for 4- and 5-Star Elite members.
    • Starpoint conversion can be requested in non-consecutive Use Years with the exception of Elite members who may convert each Use Year. Lockoff villas may be converted as the entire lockoff or as individual lockoff components.
    • For weekly VOI Owners, your full VOI (7 consecutive nights) may be converted to Starpoints. Conversion of your weekly VOI into Starpoints is a final transaction and cannot be reversed.
    • For Owners with a Home Options package, you may convert all or a portion of your Home Options (minimum increments of 20,000) into Starpoints® from the Starwood Preferred Guest program. Conversion of your Home Options into Starpoints is a final transaction and cannot be reversed.
    • Any Starpoints issued expire 6 years from the date of issue.
    • Starpoints from the conversion of your VOI are not awarded for, and may not redeemed for, stays at Vistana Signature Experiences resorts.
    • Starpoints that have been awarded under the Starpoints conversion program will be terminated if the Owner sells the VOI associated with the conversion prior to the expiration of the Use Year converted.
    • Please refer to your Starpoints Disclosure Statement for the complete General Terms and Conditions related to the Starpoints conversion program.
    • The SPG Program Terms and Conditions govern the manner in which you may use the SPG program and any Starpoints awarded. For additional information regarding the SPG program, please visit www.spg.com or call 1-888-625-4900.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For complete terms and conditions, refer to the Starpoints Disclosure Statement received with your purchase. The Starpoints Conversion feature is only offered for VOIs acquired directly from the Developer of the Resort. The Vistana Signature Network Operator reserves the right to expand or reduce the list of Eligible Owners who may participate in the Starpoints Conversion Program through the resale of a VOI.
