As a member in the Vistana Signature Network™ (VSN), you have options to vacation on land — or at sea. You can use your StarOptions® to embark on an Owner cruise or a VSN Select cruise, each with their own benefits.* In this edition of Ask the Expert, your Owner Services team will review the options available to you and how to best maximize your ownership at sea.
What types of cruises are available for Owners in the Vistana Signature Network?
As an Owner, you can choose from two types of cruises: VSN Select cruises and Owner cruises.
What are the differences between VSN Select cruises and Owner cruises?
You may use your StarOptions to reserve a VSN Select cruise directly at vistana.com/cruise. The number of StarOptions required will vary depending on the sailing date, cruise line, and itinerary you reserve.
Owner cruises are specific hosted sailings with limited availability where you’ll set sail with fellow Owners and get to know them at exclusive events. These events may include cocktail parties, group shore excursions, and other gatherings just for you and other Owners. You may reserve specific cabin types with established StarOptions plus cash. Prior attendees have shared that they love the opportunity to get to make new, like-minded friends on these Owner cruises.
Will there be other passengers on the ship besides Vistana™ Signature Experiences Owners?
Yes. Owner cruises are limited to about 50 cabins per ship, so there will be other passengers who are not Owners, but they will not have access to the exclusive VSN Owner events onboard.
What StarOptions are eligible for cruises?
StarOptions from the year of or the year after the cruise booking transaction date are eligible, including Bonus StarOptions, if applicable.
Restricted or Banked StarOptions and Vacation Ownership Interests (VOIs) purchased through an unauthorized resale agent or HOA resale offer or VOIs not enrolled in the VSN™ are not eligible for cruise bookings.
How can I start planning my next cruise?
You may log in to vistana.com/cruise to start looking at the available VSN Select cruises. If you’re interested in an Owner cruise, watch your email for announcements, as these have limited space available and sell out quickly.
