MLB Spring Training Getaway

SPRING TRAINING FUN FACTS


– There are two Spring Training leagues, consisting of 15 teams each. The Cactus League (Arizona), and the Grapefruit League (Florida).
– Pitchers and catchers typically report to Spring Training a week earlier than the rest of the players.
– Since 2009, college teams have beat MLB teams a total of three times in exhibition games.
– Unlike regular season games, Spring Training games can sometimes end in ties.
– In 2015, actor Will Ferrell played every position on the field for 10 different Cactus League teams in a single day, all for charity.
